At a recent project in the Hollywood Hills, we added interest in the dining room by mixing two different chairs. In this case, we used new chairs from DIVA and mixed them with vintage chairs from Downtown. The vintage chairs were reupholstered in a contrasting mohair fabric and were perfect for the head of the table.
I really love this - the fixture makes the room even more amazing! Y'all are fabulous!

Is that a new Chuck Close self-portrait?

I actually came across Spacify.com that has a huge variety of dining room chairs and furniture with really good prices.

Fabulous light fixture. Julie Neill does a slightly warmer looking version.
The added character in my dining room is an eccentric uncle who falls asleep at the table, and wakes up after everyone has excused themselves. He always says upon awakening: Please pass the salt.

I have mixed emotions when I look at that dining room. Yes, it has an interesting flavor that is alluring. I can't help but notice the military style windows and the chandelier that for the life of me, I can't quite put my finger on how it reminds me. The Phil Jackson is a nice touch if I'm not mistaken. I think the mixed chairs work just fine. By the way, I was in a Navy barracks in Maine a long time ago that sported the same type windows. They were just as interesting then as they are now. But no, I was never in the Navy. Just visited.
