Books That Inspire

We love "Inspired Styles."  It is an anthology of the ideas, creative palettes and select works of fifteen exemplars of interior style. In a recently completed beach condo, we purchased these wall strips from CB2 and created artwork in the master bathroom. A set of 3 costs $129.  One set provides a clean and modern feel or you can make a statement by layering multiple sets as shown below. 

Pick of the Week

We love this dusty plum colored loveseat from Lee Industries.  This would be a perfect addition to a room either opposite a small breakfast table or a built in banquette, or placed in a living room or family room.  Also, depending on the type of fabric you choose, this piece can work in either a modern or traditional home.  It's a great classically lined and versatile piece for any home.

Modern Art in a Traditional Home

Often times, when designing a space that leans towards a particular style, it’s easy to stay within the “rules” of that style.  Here’s a great example of stepping out of the box and juxtaposing modern artwork in a room that otherwise could be described as fairly traditional or classic.
